If you&amp;rsquo;re running a small workshop, you just don&amp;rsquo;t have the room for those massive, clunky convection ovens.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s why we go with shortwave infrared (IR) lamps. They hit the can lids with exactly the heat they need in a matter of milliseconds. It&amp;rsquo;s fast. Really fast.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Dealing with the space crunch&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;In a tight chassis, you can&amp;rsquo;t just let the lids sit and soak in the heat. There’s no time for that. We use high-wattage IR elements that blast thermal energy in a narrow, concentrated beam.&#xA;Because the heat goes straight onto the lid, you can ditch the giant heating chambers entirely. You get a rock-solid seal without the machine taking up half your floor space.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The heat struggle&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Here&amp;rsquo;s the catch: to get those temperatures in such a short window, you have to push the wattage. High-density lamps are great for instant heat, but they turn the inside of your machine into an oven.&#xA;If you aren&amp;rsquo;t careful, that ambient heat will fry your sensors and melt your wiring. We&amp;rsquo;ve found that using gold or aluminum reflective housings is the way to go. It bounces the wasted heat back toward the lids and keeps your electronics from cooking.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Getting it up and running&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We build these systems so they just slide right in. We use standard connectors because, let&amp;rsquo;s be honest, lamps eventually burn out. When that happens, your operator can just swap it out in a few minutes. No one wants to spend their afternoon rewiring a control board.&#xA;But keep an eye on your power. These IR arrays can cause some serious current spikes. Make sure your cabling and power supply can handle the peak load, or you&amp;rsquo;ll be tripping breakers all day.&#xA;Plus, if your voltage is jumping around, your lamps won&amp;rsquo;t last. Stable power is the only way to keep these things humming for thousands of hours.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
